Meet Jennifer Gonzalez, one of our Cloud Support Associates on the NOC Team!

What is your favorite thing about Logicworks?

Logicworks has a great set of core values, and one in particular, Grow or Die really resonates with me. I have always lived by this, both personally and professionally, and always strive to learn and grow as an individual. During my time at Logicworks, I have worked with amazing people who are constantly pushing one another to learn new things and collaborate as a team.

What is your role and what’s a typical day like for you?

I am a Tier 2 Cloud Support Associate for the NOC team in the Managed Services Department. I provide 24/7 support for clients who submit tickets, which include new requests or issues regarding their cloud infrastructure. My job is to help them troubleshoot those requests.

In the mornings, I’ll first review the ticket queue. Since this is a 24/7 team there’s always something new in the queue. Once that’s done, I’ll either start working on new builds, client infrastructure projects or general break fix tickets.

What is the most exciting part about your job?

I absolutely love working with the Managed Services team! Everyone is always willing to lend a hand and help you learn something new. The culture at Logicworks allows for continuous growth alongside an awesome group of colleagues.

What shows are you currently watching?

I have been re-watching The Office (US Version). It’s a great show for a couple of laughs and unwinding at the end of the day.

Before joining Logicworks, did you have any fun or interesting jobs?

Before Logicworks, I actually taught 3rd and 4th grade. I also worked for a social services company working as an Intake Coordinator for a family therapy program. I majored in psychology in college and wanted to pursue a path working with people in the education/social services field.

In college, I worked at the library help desk, which fueled my passion for IT, which eventually led me to Logicworks.

Where is your favorite travel destination?

I visited Venice, Italy and absolutely loved it! Venice is so different from New York City because of the culture and architecture. Venice also had the best food to offer!

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love watching new shows and reading books. I’m currently reading, In the Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a kid, I aspired to be a doctor or a lawyer, so I studied psychology in college. During college, my friend D’Arcy I became interested in the cloud computing industry through our jobs at the college library help desk.

What advice do you have for someone looking to join the cloud computing industry?
Stay hungry and always be willing to learn and grow. The cloud industry is constantly changing, so if you’re always developing your skills, you can keep up with new services and improvements.

What is your favorite project you’re working on now?

Right now, I’m working on automated patching and updating open VPNs. I also really enjoy break fixes in the sandbox!
